Pest Control & Termite Services
Termite Service
Subterranean termites live in colonies in the soil. They require moisture from the soil to survive and can tunnel hundreds of feet to reach feeding sites. Termites feed on cellulose, a complex carbohydrate, which is found in wood. A common feeding site is the wood framing of your home or business.
Termites can enter your home through the smallest of cracks at the foundation level and they build mud tubes to protect themselves from exposure to light, air and enemies. Since the framing of your home or business is hidden behind sheetrock walls, termites are free to feed without interruption. Termites can do thousands of dollars in damage before they are ever detected.

Real Estate Clearance Letters
Inman-Murphy provides clearance letters for all of Shelby, Tipton and Fayette counties.
The clearance letter is a necessary part of the real estate transactions. Many times this report is referred to as a "Termite letter" or "WDI Report". Covering more than just termites, the clearance letter also addresses any wood destroying insect.
Among many real estate professionals, Inman-Murphy has developed a reputation for providing thorough and fair evaluations of homes throughout our coverage area. Should the evaluation and inspection reveal a termite or pest infestation, Inman-Murphy can be trusted to provide effective treatment solutions, in a timely manner. All of our inspectors are reliable and we pride ourselves with respecting your time by us “being on time.”
Termite Pretreatment
Termite pretreatment to new building structures is a critical step when building a new home, office, or addition. The pretreatment is your first line of defense against termites in your home or business.
With a proper pretreatment, the soil next to the foundation is treated with a termiticide and is virtually undisturbed after the foundation is in place. Properly treated structures are able to resist termites for a much longer period of time, and termiticides applied during construction are generally applied to areas that are unavailable after construction is complete.
Once construction is complete, a perimeter treatment is performed and, in most cases, will be accompanied with a termite warranty and repair guarantee.

Your home or business provides the food and shelter pests need to survive. Pests can easily enter your home or business through doors and windows that are improperly sealed, around pipes and a number of other avenues.
Once inside, pests seek out food that is not secured, as well as, moisture sources such as under sinks, in bathrooms and kitchens. Many pests carry disease and your home should not be their home. Inman-Murphy seeks out these problem areas where the pests live, breed and feed and eliminates the problem through safe and trenchant applications.
Customers can expect exceptional service from trained technicians and all of our work is guaranteed.
